Character Design: silhouettes and Thumbnails

Here are a few silhouettes I created from nuts and bolts for the side kick, I've been struggling to think of a design for my sidekick as he's created by the hero so is all made up of gears and other types of metal and I don't feel experienced enough for mechanical characters but it's a challenge I'm willing to accept and try to accomplish. I like the shape and form of number 3 so I will soon take it further and add some detail.

 Testing out poses and clothing for my villain but they seem a bit too heroic and the clothes seem to symmetrical, so i need to work on making it's more sharp and pointy using triangle shapes to give off a sense of danger. The same thing also goes for the face it's still a bit too curved and needs to be more of a point, but other then that it's starting to come along nicly.

Unit 3: Lumens Lighthouse Silhouettes

To get more of an interesting structure for Lumen's lighthouse, as he is the bringer of light I silhouetted different types of lights and lamps, where I then mixed mixed them together to create more fantasy looking structures.

Unit 3: Mum and Son Silhouette

I've decided to make the time period for the son and mother to be set in the 60's I love the colours and the thought of a messy room with retro toys laying on the floor.  but for now I have the Silhouettes to know scale and the height between the son and mother

Unit 3: Silhouette for Prop

 To create the prop which is my character Caligo Nox's Giant vacuum that sucks in the Dreamers floating in the sky and holds them in some type of prison. So i got vacuum cleaners and Silhouetted them

still need to add more detail into them but was just getting the shapes. my eye seems to be drawn to number 8 as I like the dome it feels like the dreamers could be stored in there and you see them all floating around.

Thumbnails

Using Images I created silhouettes of some chandeliers to incorporate in my Main Hall piece so that it helps display the time period the building was made in. I feel four, six and seven are the ones that seem most suited to show the Victorian time period.

Summer Project: Silhouettes

Created more silhouettes which I'm finding very useful I'm coming up with concepts that I would never have thought up before it just lets your imagination run wild and thinks up multiple ideas of what will feel these black images. I can't wait to finish these tomorrow so I can start to pick my most Favorited three and start the final drawings.
